We will NOT be impounding bikes for the M3DE – this means you can ride day one and then decide if you want to ride day two. If you complete the two days successfully you might as well ride the 3rd day too.

ONLY EXPERT RIDERS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE OVERALL M3DE MAJOR TROPHY

Certificates for first three intermediate riders in the M3DE

Saturday start time is 9:00 sharp

Sunday start time is 10:00 sharp

Monday is 10:00

Terrain Tests may be walked on Friday 31 May from midday onwards. Come to the forest HQ and see the staff on site.

There are three Terrain tests that can be walked:

  1. DRD Test is on Okaeria Road – at northern boundary of the forest on the eastern side of Okaeria Road. A sign will be up – walk in 300 meters to the start. You walk past the finish of the terrain test to the start.
  2. ACERBIS Test is at the HQ and is right at the entrance to the forest. You can see the arrows and tape as you drive in.
  3. Enduro X Test is also at the HQ behind the sign on shed. This includes the Enduro X Course.
All the tests are about 5 km long.

Other Terrain Tests:
The Trail Terrain Tests (Browns Road and Ride Red Ridge) will be ridden before you race them. They will be signposted for your look lap on the course.

The timing will be REAL TIME – Cards will be issued with times, distances and averages so you will know exactly what you need to do and where to be and at what time.

The Experts will be seeded in the Championship Standings as they are at the moment. So expect to get numbers relating to your standing.

Intermediates and Juniors will have slower time schedules as this can be done with REAL TIME – makes for a great ride for you guys.

HELPERS: We need helpers especially for Saturday and Sunday. More so Saturday. If you supply a helper who does 4 hrs or more you will get half price entry for the day your helper helps. If you want to ride only one day and help on another day you can get half price entry for that day or free entry for the Enduro Sprint day.

SO PLEASE – WE NEED HELPERS TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL ENDURO – THE MORE THE MERRIER

Contact Greg on 0274454429 or turn up on the day and let us know.

This is the intention: A full national with Junior classes included. MNZ Classes will be run.

This will be a long day for the Seniors.

Entry on the day from 7:30 am – Seniors start at 9:30 am sharp finishing around 4 pm – Juniors start at 11:00 am sharp finishing around 3 pm.

There will be track splits which will be manned to stop cheats. Sections will not be tightly timed as we intend to have the results determined on the Special Tests.

Timing will be by Real Time thus riders cards will already be filled out with times, distances and averages included at the start line.

We hope to have four or five individual special tests (terrain tests) ridden up to three times each. They will include two of the old favourites being Oakdens tight trees section near the entrance to the forest and what used to be the Spiral but will now be an Enduro X style special including Everest and the single track ride to the quarry.

The other tests may include DRD in the Eastern Block and a grass track in the Western Block plus of course some tests within the forest itself. We are having working Bees to get this organised so sign up for that now to make this a memorable event.

We also need helpers on the day for Special Test and Check timing. Please help the team out.
