Blair had a bit of an accident in the weekend, but is ok. He needs an op on his right arm as he has damaged some nerve tissues. Apparently he also looks as if he has done 15 rounds with Mike Tyson.
The accident was not his fault. A lad from the Castrol Honda Racing Team was doing a starting practice as the chequered flag went up signalling the end of practice. Blair was on his last lap and the other guy was starting on the racing line. The lad is in pretty bad shape, and had to have his spline and a kidney removed, but we have heard nothing else about him.
Blair has probably had his op by now and I know that there are a lot of people in NZ who will be wishing him a speedy recovery.
On a happier note, last weekend Blair won the ACU MRO championships and the ride in the weekend was an invite to the British Superbikes.
