My apologies for short and late review but I was away over weekend.

The new worlds champ Kenny Roberts Jnr show how it was done in Japan . He dominated the race from the start aat Motegi. Finishing with a six second advantage over the Italians Rossi and Biaggi who made a scrap of it for 2nd passing each other four times on the last lap, Rossi getting ahead on the last bend.

\"I really enjoyed this race with no worries about the world championship,\" said Roberts Jr. \"The bike was so good I think it could have won without me. I just put my head down and managed to pull away from everybody. It was very satisfying to win so comfortably and I will be trying to do the same at Phillip Island in Australia at the final round in two weeks time.\"

Carlos Checa, regained third place in the championship from Garry McCoy who did not finish, after being fourth in front of Norick Abe and Alex Crivillé.
