Cannon Racing update regarding the final round of the Wrenchead.com National Road Race Series to be held at Daytona Int\'l Speedway on October 22, 2000

Cannon Racing\'s Brendan Clarke has been offered a test ride by the Honda Shell Advance world 250 GP team at the Australia World Grand Prix. It has been decided that it is in Brendan\'s best interests to forego the Aprilia Cup race at Daytona to better prepare for the Phillip Island test (Phillip Island is held the weekend following Daytona). We wish Brendan the best.

In association with Bernie Hatton and Top Rider Motorcycle School of Australia, the team is excited to welcome aboard the following two top Australian riders for the final round of the Aprilia Cup Challenge:

Aaron Gobert (19), brother to renowned Anthony Gobert and Jamie Stauffer(21), both of New South Wales, will be onboard Aprilia RS250s for the final round of the Wrenchead.com National Road Race Series.

Gobert placed 3rd in the Aprilia Cup in Australia this year and is currently leading the extremely competitive 250 Production class of the Australian Road Racing Championships.

Stauffer, the current Australian 125 champion, won the Aprilia Cup in Australia this year and is currently running 6th in the Supersport class of the Australian Road Racing Championships.

Cannon Racing would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support throughout the 2000 season: Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo, Velóce Racing, Fiser Hummer, Top Rider Motorycle School, Tiger Angel, HJC, Maxima, Race Tech, Synergy Racing Technologies, Super Moto Italia, Valence Web, Ferodo, Dieter Def Designs, and Chatterbox.

Sincerely, Cannon Racing http://www.cannon-racing.com
