McCoy takes Valencia GP

Garry McCoy on his Red Bull Yamaha slid his way to victory at Valencia. This is the second race McCoy has won on end which has ended the record streak of 22 races with out a consecutive winner.

Kenny Roberts held 2nd for most of the race but was challenged by Valentino Rossi, who is 2nd behind Roberts in the championship. Rossi made it up to 2nd only to come to grief a few corners later.

Max Biaggi had a good race and was pressing Roberts for third but the end of the race came before he could catch and pass him.
