British Superbike Rider James Hayden has withdrawn from today\'s Brands hatch race. Hayden is suffering from injuries from a pre season car crash during practise. He will rest his injuries until next weeks British Superbike Championship race at Knockhill.

Hayden was quoted as saying . “I am gutted at not being able to shine this weekend,” my bike and the team are better than they’ve ever been and I was relishing the opportunity to run at the front with the World’s best. But BSB is my own, my team’s and my sponsors’ main goal, so it has to come first.” “I have steadily felt the worsening effects of my injury through the whole season, to the point that, after Oulton Park, I couldn’t walk for two days afterwards,” continued the Berkhamstead rider. “But I’m still fourth in the British Championship despite being far from peak fitness. If my condition hasn’t improved by Knockhill and I have to go under the knife, then at least my results, of which I’m very proud of under the circumstances, will be seen for what they are and do me justice for next season, when I’ll be 110% fit.”
