Wild card British Super bike rider Neil Hodgson stole pole position a head of Colin Edwards, at Brands Hatch on Saturday. The British fans went wild with the prospect of a British rider taking the podium as happened at Donington .
Haga who had been fastest in Saturday Qualifing crashed is spectacular fashion going into the last corner before starting his flying lap. He was taken away for medical treatment. He will start from 16th on the grid.
Castrol Honda\'s Edwards commented in a team press release: \"I\'m happy enough with a front-row start. After watching some scary moments in Superpole I was pleased to get a clear lap and qualify on the front row.\"
Troy Bayliss is third on the grid, and Chilli now recovered from his broken collarbone is forth.Three more British wildcards are on the second row with Kiwi Aaron Slight, The second row is Haydon, Hislop, Slight, and Walker.
Slight\'s press release quoted Aaron as saying, \"I\'m happy enough to be on row two here. We\'ve made a lot of progress with the machine this weekend and I have a good set-up for the race.\"
Row three is Yanagawa, with Corser next having survived a huge slide at Paddock bend on his Superpole lap. 11th is Reynolds and completing the third row is Ben Bostrom who is still continuing his run of starting before his replacement rider on the Ducati Factory bike. Borja is only just behind as he heads the forth row with Lavilla, Bussei, and Haga.
