Foggy is back in the news, He has a book out entitled \"FOGGY\" (Now thats original). He is expected to do a parade lap at Brands Hatch this weekend and this is the latest press release on his injuries from the Ducati Factory.

British Ducati Corse rider Carl Fogarty was today visited by Professor Andrew Carr of Oxford University. Dr. Fabio Cattani of Bologna\'s Istituto Rizzoli, Ducati Corse\'s medical consultant, was also present.

The visit forms part of the intense series of checks programmed by Prof.Carr for Carl Fogarty as soon as he arrived back in Britain after his Phillip Island crash.

The fracture of the left humerus bone in Fogarty\'s shoulder caused by his crash in Australia is now almost entirely healed.

Nevertheless the lengthy period of inactivity has created considerable muscle decay, and the rehabilitation programme that Carl Fogarty is carrying out in the swimming-pool is not yet sufficient to see him taking part in the next rounds of the 2000 World Superbike Championship.

The positive opinion expressed by the doctors today was nevertheless a bitter disappointment for the four-time WSBK champion, who had hoped to return to racing before the end of the season.

A total recovery is expected for the autumn, and Ducati Corse has already booked a test session on the track for November. In the meantime, his Ducati 996 Factory bike is patiently waiting…
