Leguna Seca Race One.

Edwards got away to an early start with Haga on his tail. On lap 2 Haga made a spectacular move exiting the corkscrew, to take the lead but Edwards powered past on the front straight to take it back. Next lap, same place, Haga repeated the move, and this time Edwards didn\'t get it back, Haga pulled out to a good lead And held it to the finish.

Bayliss was second until he lowsided out, Edwards third, became second, but hunted by Corser and Bostrom, Bostrom getting the third spot.

He set out to keep Corser at bay, managing to do so until the final lap, when Corser got underneath him in turn 10, Bostrom came back in turn 11, but Corser got the better draft and took the third spot.

    Leguna Seca Race two.

Bayliss got off the line best but Haga set out trying for the double and looking good enough to get it. He nailed Bayliss with the same maneuver that he used on Edwards in Race 1.

Bostrum however had other ideas and gave chase, taking Haga with a spectacular pass that sent the dust flying as he used all the track and a bit more. Edwards was there as well. Haga\'s Yamaha was sliding and looked like a bucking bronco at times, Edwards took advantage of this and put him into third place.

Haga chased Bostrom, closing up and dropping back as he sized up his quarry, Then he pounced and opened up a lead on Bostrom (if only he the power of the Infostrada Duke). Borja only lasted 20 laps before falling. Making another poor showing from him.

Aussie Troy Corser was getting consistently faster and reeled in the leaders passing Edwards, Bostrom and finally Haga then just left them behind, Bostrom in second had his place sown up until still hotly pursued by Haga he over cooked the last corner, going in way to hot and running wide , Haga said Thank you very much and punished him for him mistake. Bostrom took third.

Edwards took fourth. Aaron Slight was ninth Placing listed below.

Corser is now number two on the championship table. Bostrom is Number five.

My two Bobs worth: Would Bostrom have won today if he had his old ride? Is Ducati prepared to say \" We made a mistake,Ben. \" Will they ever admit it ?

For my money they are doing themselves no favors staying with Borja - despite the press releases from Ducati that say Borja is really getting to grips with the Infostrada machine, it is not the case. His list of DNF and falls since he was put in to replace Bostrom can only be described as impressive. He has only once finished ahead of Bostrom and only once beaten him in qualifing.

Going on his present form Ducati have problem. How long will it take for them to face up to it.?

The Answer is plain and simple , give Ben his ride back, if he wants it that is.

Aaron Slight must also be in danger of not getting a ride with Honda again next year. Yeah! I know he has had a brain operation etc, but results are what counts. This is a big money sport and consistent 8th\'s and 9th\'s on a factory machine will see Honda looking for another rider. No matter how highly we Kiwi\'s think of Aaron.
