Noriyuki Haga\'s appeal against his punishment for alleged dope offences takes place on Friday in Geneva. At this hearing Haga, Yamaha WSBK team Manager Davide Brivio, and representatives will attend the hearing.

If Haga\'s appeal is denied, Yamaha is considering taking the case to international sports arbitration courts in search of a favorable result.

If the decision goes Haga\'s way it will have a massive impact on this year’s championship.

If Haga was given his points back he would lead the world superbike championship with 232 points Edwards would lose 5 point gained at Hagas expense and be on 227.

Should Haga\'s suspension be upheld Yamaha are expected to put a temporary rider on his bike for Laguna Seca, one of the replacements being considered would be Simon Crafer.
