Rain Couldn't Dampen Kiwis at IOM

The weather took control overnight at the Isle of Man. Heavy rain delayed the start of the Production TT by five and a half-hours and reduced the race to 2 laps. Although the rain had stopped, the road was still very very wet. Joey Dunlop pulled out to concentrate on the Senior TT. Even in the atrocious condition the Kiwis still shone.

New Plymouth Shaun Harris, on a Suzuki GSXR 750WY, ran with the front runners the whole way. He was 4th at the end of lap one and came home 7th just1.7 seconds down on Adrian Archibald in 6th place.

Other Kiwis to finish were: Steve Bridge Yamaha R1 25th Nigel Healey Yamaha R1 30th

Timaru’s John Hepburn decided to run his Yamaha R1 in the Senior TT rather than the Production.

Blair Degerholm retired at the end of lap one commenting “ It’s too wet and slippery out there for my liking”.

Due to the delay in the start of the Production TT the Senior TT has been postponed until Saturday Night (New Zealand time)
