Practice week weather, started out “Perfect” to quote TT Radio, but it wasn’t to last. By late Wednesday, the rain had set in, with the ultimate result. The cancellation of Thursday’s, and Friday’s extra practice sessions.

The Kiwi contingent had, however practiced well, featuring high on most leaderboards. Shaun Harris and John Hepburn high in Formula One 11th and 12th respectively with Nigel Healey in 24th, Bruce Anstey 4th in Lightweight 250cc and Brett Richmond, 1st and Craig Shirriffs, 3rd on the 400cc leaderboard. Last year’s 400cc TT winner Paul Williams, this year on a 250cc is 19th in the lightweight.
Shaun Harris is 4th on the Junior TT board, followed by Blair Degerholm at 9th and John Hepburn at 23rd.
The Production TT board sees Shaun Harris again in the top 5, 3rd in fact, followed by Blair Degerholm in 12th and John Hepburn in 13th.
The Ultra-lightweight and Singles was the only leaderboard with out a Kiwi in the top ten. Jason Easton was the highest at 18th followed by Paul Williams at 22nd, Nigel Bish at 27th, Jane Parrett and Bruce Anstey 40th and 41st respectively.

Saturday Dawned wet, but the sun came out in time for the start of the Formula One TT. Although the track was extremely slippery in place the Kiwis again shone, with Shaun Harris coming home 11th closely followed in 12th by John Hepburn and Nigel Healey in 24th.

Tonight (New Zealand time) sees the Lightweight 250cc and 400cc and sidecar “B” race.
