Edwards remained on top of he WSBK world after today\'s final qualifying session. Edwards lapped at 1:59.991 Next best was Troy Bayliss\'s Ducati at 2:00.479 in the second of two qualifying sessions.
Slight was in 3rd place, half a second slower than Edwards, which puts him right on line for his desired podium finish this time out.
Chili was in forth despite a huge crash in the morning session that saw his GSX-R go over the safety fence.
Hage was 6th qualifier and his bike is sporting new livery, his new sponser being West cigarettes, as in NZ Cigarettes ads are banned on German racetracks, so West ads will be covered with Haga signs.
Superpole is later today,(Sat) featuring the top 16 from qualifying.
Ben Bostrom on the NCR Ducati posted 10th best time, while Spaniard Juan Borja, the rider who was given Bostrom\'s factory Infostrada Ducati, a couple of days ago finished up 17th and will not make Superpole runoffs.
It would seem Bostrom is out to show the factory they have made an unwise decision, in downgrading him. He would seem to have a good case for being aggrieved.
The other Kiwi Simon Crafer riding for Kawasaki got 9th best time so he is in for a shot at superpole as well. Edwards however being the only rider under 2 minutes looks likely to get his 4th straight superpoleand get closer to the 200 grand bonus for 6 straight superpoles.
