Pier- Francesco Chili will be using a new Suzuki Evolution 3 engine at the Hockenheim round of the World Superbike Series this weekend. Akira Ryo and Keiichi Kitagawa carried out testing in Japan. The new engine was used in the most recent round of the All-Japan Superbike Series.

\"My team has already received new engines and my technicians told me that the new engine will have more power and a lot of more top speed,\" Chili said. \"During last Monza round my bike was really good, but Honda had a little advantage in acceleration exit from slow corners. I think that with this new engine, my Suzuki will be so competitive as Honda SPW. Now I know that I can win the World title. During the last five rounds I was a little bike unlucky: I lose many points in Japan due to a stupid technical problem (an injection wire was cut) and also at Donington, when my injection system failed. Also at Phillip Island I lose points due a crash - my mistake. At the moment I have just 24 points from the leader and after Donington and Monza rounds I know that Colin Edwards can lose if I put him under pressure. Colin is a very fast rider, but I can beat him using my experience. Last year I won at Hockenheim, and now I can win again.\"

Chili, had asked to Suzuki for an RGV500 to race in last weekend\'s Italian Grand Prix, but Suzuki said no, not wanting to put Chili at any risk.
