Blair Meyer, a National 250 MX rider, was seriously injured at Taupo while competeting in the Labour Weekend Extravaganza. He was airlifted to Waikato hospital with serious head injuries. Father Ken Meyer says, \"Blair is progressing well and hopes to be in PN Hospital by the end of the week. The family would like to thank all those who have phoned, visited, or otherwise offered support to Blair and the family during this time.\"

Another Manawatu motorcyling icon, Morley Shirriffs, was seriously injured recently and is currently in PN Hospital. He is no longer in intensive care and is improving daily.
We wish them both a speedy recovery.
