Tales Of North vs South

Posted: Tue 02 Nov 1999

The North Island riders won handsomly in the recent North vs South Motocross held in Blenheim. Though the South Island riders provided just enough niggle to make a competition out of it. The ground was wet under foot at the beginning of the day, but dried to give superb conditons and some of the best racing commentator Neil Ritchie has seen.

The North island riders won every class with the winners as follows:
Craig Laird from New Plymouth won the 125 class
Paul Whibley from the Manawatu won the 250 class
Corey Sargeant from the Wairarapa won the 500 class

This popular event was a little more than popular NZ commentator, Neil Ritchie, bargained for it seems. Rumours run rampant as to how he received those nasty bruises on his arm, shoulder and knee. Silver-Bullet have done some digging and found the truth to bring to you our dear readers. Yes, it seems Neil was lead astray, and no we can\'t name names. After a rained out practice on Saturday and quick visit to the local establishment the partners in crime attempted a walk through a rock garden!
