On March 30th, at Rnd 3 of the GNCC series, held at Steele Creek, North Carolina, then current XC2 Pro Lites leader Rory Mead crashed out while challenging for the lead.
His head on impact into a tree resulted in severe fractures with the C5 and C6 vertebrae in his neck
The former NZ Enduro and Cross Country champion faces a long battle but he *is* making progress
