Race report for anyone who's interested except Moki haha.
It was a weather warning in the Kaikoura ranges, that gives you an idea of the conditions.
Gun went off ran to the bike, wouldn't fire. 7 or 8 kicks later I was last off the line, only just beating Jason Dickey to the title. We fought hard to the front on the first lap. Jason Dickey hit a river in a bad spot and drowned his bike completely ending his race 3/4 in. I pushed hard and pitted on the 2nd lap. By the end of the 4th lap I was sitting behind Matt Quirke in 7th. Planning to pit on the 4th lap I ran out of gas 5 or 8km from the pits, day ended freezing my arse off.
Good trip down south though cheers for all the help to everyone that got me here.
