MOMCC Club Champs Round 2 – 18 MAY 08, Results

Posted: Tue 20 May 2008

The Ingles farm at the end of Foley Road near Woodville was the venue for round two of the club champs. Tony Smith and Phil Stephenson done a good job of marking out eight sections for the 15 riders to try and conquer. All were set in a gully of pine trees with a stream flowing through the middle. The stream didn’t offer much in the way of decent rocks so most sections featured climbs under the trees with plenty of steep banks and numerous small rocks to trip you up if you didn’t have your wits about you. The weather was good too, sun shining and no wind.

Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves although I must admit to getting pretty frustrated with sections one and two, the two hardest sections for us riding Expert grade. Those two had me defeated all day, in fact Warrick George had the best luck on section one, he managed to get through it all day for three’s and Carl actually managed it for the loss of one once.
