MOMCC Trial Feb 07th Results

Posted: Wed 28 Feb 2007

The first MOMCC trial for the year got off to a good start weather wise – too hot almost. A good job that five of the eight sections were under trees that kept us sheltered from the burning yellow thing. I know I found it a bit difficult to get over enthuised about riding on the day.

Held on a venue off the Saddle road near Ashhurst, the ground conditions were dry and hard. It’s not a rocky venue so all the sections were climbes and descents on dirt/grass banks and hills and even a few gaps to be jumped (by the expert riders). And in the bush sections a few tree roots as extra obstacles.

This was the first round of the club trials champs and fifteen riders entered including seven non-MOMCC riders. Hopefully a few more club members will be at the next trial to be held on March 18th, although we still need to confirm the venue at this stage.
