Tutamoe trails to tempt enduro fraternity

Posted: Fri 27 Jan 2006

Press Release.

Grab your gear and head north. However for this trip you won’t need a plane ticket. The second round of the 2006 Suzuki New Zealand Enduro Championship will be held roughly an hour north of the picturesque township Dargaville on Saturday February 4. The area known as Tutamoe has been a popular trail riding destination for many years but it has been some time since an Enduro ventured so far north. The terrain features a wide mix with multiple trail loops covering an area in excess of 10000 acres. There is something to suit beginners to enduro experts with pine forest, fast flowing roller coaster farm tracks and tight windy native forest tracks.

Sign on starts from 8am and you need two fuel tins as event has an away gas stop.

Travelling to the event is easy as it will be signposted from the turnoff off on S.H 12 (approx 1 ¼ hours north of Dargaville).

Those of you who are worried about where to stay there is camping available at Tutamoe School which is about 2km from the events start.
