Dream Job Snapped Up

Posted: Tue 13 Jul 1999

Hi there,
My name is Connie Webley, and I\'m the new Sales and Marketing Manager here at Silver Bullet.

I\'ve been racing around the last few days trying to get up with the play on the many projects the company has on the boil, one of them will be a fortnightly chat with all our subscribers out there in \'net\' land in the way of a newsletter. You\'ll all get to know me a little better through these \'newsy\' emails, and if you\'re lucky I may even share a few of my more embarrassing moments! Before you say anything - yes, there are many to choose from, though I\'m sure I can sacrifice my dignity for the sake of a good giggle. Laughter makes the world go round after all.

I\'ve been riding for eight years now, started on a BR250 and have worked my way through eleven bikes to a Bandit 1200, there\'s been everything from a Mito 125 (which I went trail riding with! - a whole story on it\'s own), to a Katana 750 in between. I\'m mostly known for my presence within WIMA, which involved the organisation of the Women\'s Survival Day in 1998, and current position of national editor. Some of you may also have seen me in the odd wet t-shirt competition, send me your negatives now and no further action will be necessary!

Once I\'m up to speed I\'ll be out and about the countryside popping in to as many dealerships as I can, and attending rallies, rides and races as usual - only now I get paid to do it! Geez, life is tough aint it?

The Bandit 1200 I currently ride seems a little unhappy with the touring modifications that have been made, I\'m sure, however, that it will be fun trying to tame the black beast.

I look forward to meeting you all, and if you see me whizz past on a troublesome black beast trying to shake it\'s top box, have a smile and wave.
