Amongst rumours and speculation, Ducati have issued a press
release denying that they are the subject of a merger with Harley Davidson.
Chief executive Federico Minoli stated:
Neither Ducati nor its principal shareholder
TPG have had any contact with Harley-Davidson
concerning a possible acquisition of an interest in
Ducati.
Harley Davidson have refused to comment on the rumour.
The rumour has manage to push Ducati\'s share price up by six percent.
I can\'t imagine why. Ducati and Harley may both make large v-twin motorcycles, but the similarity ends there.
