Whibley 2nd At "Fast Eddy"

Posted: Wed 07 Sep 2005

Paul Whibley has just finished 2nd to Paul Edmondson (HONDA) at the penultimate round of the 2005 FAST EDDY RACE SERIES. Paul got a good start with Ryan Voase and Eddy, but a high speed crash by Ryan resulting in the Kawasaki rider retiring from the event and sitting in the St. Johns Ambulance for a while, has now destroyed Ryans chances of winning the championship.

This retirement by Ryan has made things alot easier for Whibz regarding the Overall Championship standings. Paul now leads the championship by 17 points from Fast Eddy himself and so with only one round to go at the end of the month, all Whibz has to do is 'stay safe' at the I.S.D.E and the Fast Eddy Championship should be his.

This is not the ideal way to win a championship with Ryan crashing out but nevertheless crashing is part of racing and i hope Ryan is not too sore this morning.

Stuart Day (GAS GAS) finished 5th in the Clubmen 250 2T class after recovering from a knee injury which means he now has a VERY narrow '1' point lead going into the last race at Culham at the end of the month!!

Jamie Paget (KTM) had a superb ride to win the class yesterday infront of GAS GAS employee Luke Meredith who rode a new "06 EC250 Gasser for the first time.

Pete Clark (GAS GAS) was 3rd and our own 'Factory Kev' Hipwell finished 6th on a new "06 EC300. Well done guys!
