Coppins dominates the Ken Hall Trophy.

Josh Coppins has won the Ken Hall Trophy in convincing style after a hard fought GP the day before on the Isle of Wight. Coppins has supported the bank holiday race for many years, previously driving through the night when the event was held the day after the German GP.

Luckily for Coppins a change in calendar meant that the only driving the Kiwi had to endure was 20 miles from the ferry to the Langrish circuit.

Coppins dominated both 30 minutes motos in front of a well turned out crowd to re- lift the Ken Hall Trophy.

“I qualified fastest in practice. I didn’t get such a great start in the first moto but managed to pull through into the lead and win the race with a small gap. I grabbed the hole-shot in moto 2 and pulled a comfortable lead to win so all in all a good day. There was huge amount of spectators which is always good because the crowd gets behind you and it is awesome to race under those circumstances,” explained Coppins.

Coppins heads back to his base in Belgium to prepare for the penultimate round of the MX1 GP series to be held in Lierop this weekend.
