A4DE: Day 3

Picture: Chris on Day 3

Day three has finished with some mixed rides and fatigue setting in. Good news is that Sean Clarke has managed to ride through the pain and is pretty comfortable now. His shoulder whilst still sore is useable and he is back on race pace this afternoon. good news for him and the team.

Everyone finished today with some feeling the strain of the long hours and mental pressure.

The results are less than desirable with some errors causing a rethink of the whole system. Day one results have just been posted with four of the seven special tests being cancelled because they couldn't be sorted.

Day two is being worked out as we speak but we don't expect the results for some time let alone day three results.

The riders with the least problems are Mark Whyte, Heath Howlett and the Power Cousins. They seem to be under control and are great with their tyre changes, special tests and have not lost any time to this point.

Tomorrow is a short ride up into the forest and back to parc ferme where we will wait for the final MX test inside the race course. This will be a 20 min moto in classes with Christopher Power first up in the under 200cc 2T class.

Everyone will be keen to get bed early tonight and are looking to finishing the days riding and getting into the MX Test. Then it is time to start packing up the gear and steam cleaning the bikes and gear before packing up the container for return to NZ

More information and pics tomorrow after talking with the riders tonight.
