Everything is on schedule at Power Adventures!

Our Family Fun Day in Woodhill Forest on the controversial Saturday slot was one of the best ever with 292 riders and a further 12 helpers. Lots of new people came along to have a go on the Test Bikes and convert them we did. Several went away with cheque books open looking for a Honda Dealer. Oh to be a Honda dealer on those days! Best of all, there were absolutely no injuries which is in keeping with our Family Day Trail Rides. With the help of the Greenslade Twins, the tracks were expertly dazzle painted on all the stumps and tree roots which meant everyone saw the trouble spots. Good reports have come from the ride ever since.

Tuesday we had a coaching session for beginners. Whilst one of the riders came along for more advanced skills we were able to cope as Luke Uhrle took him for some private lessons in the more rugged areas of Woodhill forest. He was very impressed and learnt heaps. Thanked us profusely.

The newbie’s were even more appreciative as they all learned to firstly use the clutch and then the brakes and every one of them was able to loft the front wheel over an obstacle by the end of the day. A great achievement that even most adults cannot do with skill and exact placement.

Interestingly, the Chinese bike that came along lasted a whole 15 minutes so we “loaned” the young disappointed rider a CRF70 which he really enjoyed and now wants. Doesn’t want a bar of the Chinese bike now and as Dad has bought himself a new KTM450, I think little Sam will get a new CRF70 within a week or two.

Other riders ended up “borrowing” our bikes as theirs expired throughout the day. Whilst it means we have heaps of bikes to clean, it does give the kids the chance to carry on and definitely gives them the mindset that only Honda motorcycles are worthy of owning. Fantastic.

Off to Aussie on Saturday to find fame and fortune. Rather Christopher and Karl are in the NZ team at the Aussie 4 Day Enduro Champs. Luke Uhrle is coming over as pit crew as he is keen to learn as much as he can about multi day international enduro as he intends to ride the 6 day at 15 yrs and two months old. Good on him I say as as we are sponsoring him even doubly so. Chris and Karl are all set. Their bikes are in Aussie and they are primed and ready to go. Looking forward to the event. Will report back in two weeks with all the info.

Cheers for now, Greg
