Round 3 of the FIM Asian Motocross Championships were held over the weekend in Macau. Heavy rain during the week left track conditions extremely muddy. Competing were top riders from the Asia region together with riders from Australia and New Zealand.

Local rider from Palmerston North, James Robinson (#12, 22 years old) finished lst and 3rd in the two race event scoring equal points with Glen Aguilar (#1) of the Philippines. Under count-back rules Robinson took second overall position behind Aguilar. This leaves Robinson in the top 3 leading into the final round to be held 7 August in Solo, Indonesia. The event was televised and will be shown on ESPN Asian Sports in approximately 2-3 weeks.

Jams Robinson, now based out of Malaysia, has spent the past 5 months competing and coaching motocross in the region.
