Chris Birch Excels In The Welsh Bogs:

Husqvarna Rider Chris Birch put in a stunning ride last weekend in the Brechfa Enduro in South Wales, round two of the British Enduro Championships. Revelling in the tough, technical riding (think of Riverhead Forest in mid-winter, with big hills and rocks thrown in!).

Chris came 2nd in the E2 Class (narrowly beaten by World Enduro Championship contender Paul Edmondson) and 4th Overall. Chris had a mediocre ride in the first BEC round which was very motocross - oriented, but his technical riding skills certainly came to the fore in Wales.

Chris said that when interviewed by the British weekly Trials and MX News after he was told the results he probably didn't quite do the proper British thing when his first words were "holy s..t, you must be kidding!"

This result has boosted his confidence for his attack on the European Enduro Champs in Poland later this month, then Italy in May.
Chris will be doing a full race report soon.

A sensational ride and the battles of Birch and Whibley now being played out in Wales can be followed as the Full Results Are Here:
