Tauranga born Stefan Merriman won his Enduro 2 class both days at Guadalajara, Spain on the weekend. Paul Whibley was 8th in the Enduro 2 class and a perusal of the RESULTS: show Whibs 12th on Day 2. There is no mention of Chris Birch in the results below.
We hope to have detailed reports from all three riders in due course.
UPDATE: Peter Birch writes that Chris is not doing the WECs and that his "deal " with Husqvarna is for the European, British and Welsh Enduro Champs, plus the British Fast Eddy Cross Country Series. He is hoping that he can get a "Wild Card " entry to at least one World Enduro Round. But it all comes down to finances as Chris has to finance all his own travel, entries, fuel , tyres etc etc.
At this stage it is on the cards that a trio made up of Chris, Paul Whibley and Sean Clarke (with ground support from the highly efficient Aussies) may front up at the ISDE, Slovakia. That word 'Finance' also comes into the equation..........
