A Rider Friendly Enduro Series:

Suzuki Central Enduros Are Rider Friendly:

Steven Bird as well as being a pretty swift off-road rider himself is also the Suzuki Central Enduro co-ordinator. I had posted on the Event notices that headlamps were required to be fitted as per the National Series. Steven advises that that is not so and he explains:
The series is being even more rider friendly and you dont need headlights at all (going or not), unlike the National Series. MX bikes are ok, as all events are on private property and forests in our area don't require us to use or have headlamps, makes another enduro new comer hurdle gone and makes for encorgaging new riders along on the day much easier.

This has been same for the Central series for past 5 or 6 years. I know you will think this misleading when both Central and National use the same Suzuki enduro poster - which it is! And it gets worse when we combine one or two rounds as a National and Central enduro at same event, but we need to do what is best for each individual series. You see, our motocycle and rider classes are different also, due to numbers in fields and trophies the event costs are different (less) and we encourage Intermediate field riders and also have shorter events. We do see however, riders competing in both series as they tie in one or two rounds and often compete in the remaining series events for that year.

So if you live in the lower Noth Island and want to try out an Enduro contact Steven.
