Shane Watts Runs Out Of Gas:

KTMHutt.com/Fun Mart Cycles: sponsored racer Shane Watts had a disappointing finish to Round 4 of the WORCS series in Lake Havasu, Arizona over the weekend (March 20).

After a mediocre start to the grueling two hour race Watts rode strong on his borrowed 200EXC and consistently moved forward through the field until reaching seventh position just after the one hour mark. Running basically the same lap times as the next few riders in front of him, Watts rode an eventful second half of the race until half way around the final five minute lap his machine came to an abrupt halt, out of gas. After a period of time of waiting and then receiving extra gas Watts was able finish the lap and be credited with 10th, the last rider on the lead lap.

"That was disappointing to have that happen, especially after riding real strong the whole race. I’m just glad to have done so well on a used, stock 200EXC out on that extremely rough track, but it would have still been good to be the first KTM across the line. My extensive training and preparation earlier in the year really paid off because I was unable to train all last week due to having to focus on the schooling and exams that my wife and I took. It’s a good thing we passed them as well."

"I can’t wait to get back out onto my flogged out practice track and put some hard laps in so as I feel ready to push my limits at the next GNCC in North Carolina (April 3)."

Watts now leaves on Wednesday for 9 days in Argentina to compete in a major Motocross event, thanks to the invitation of that nation’s KTM importer.
