Shane Backs Up on the Orange Crush GNCC :

KTMHutt.com/Fun Mart Cycles sponsored rider Shane Watts finished a strong fourth place at Round 3 of the GNCC series held in the red clay of Georgia over the weekend (March 13). Backing up from his emphatic podium finish at Round 2 Watts carried that momentum and confidence around the partially bogged out 11 mile course to basically ride an error free race, except for getting bogged for some time on the last lap.

"As expected on the 125SX I was last off the start but from there I just kept pulling forward, passing others mainly with good line selection. Unfortunately the leading trio had got away before I had made my way through the pack, and I could never bridge that gap. That was a little disappointing because I'm sure I could have fought for the podium again if I had been with them."

"At least I'm now at a level where I'm riding fast and consistent and picking smart lines. From here I need to lift my intensity and speed another level. It's time to start attacking the course and not being so conservative seeing as I'm back to the stage of believing in my ability on the bike. Now it's time to park the 125 and jump back on the 200EXC and fight for the lead."

Round 4 of the GNCC is scheduled for North Carolina on April 3.
