MANAGEMENT CHANGE:

David Appleton, President of Motorcycling New Zealand today announced the resignation of Chief Executive Officer, Trevor Gill, effective 14 April 2005.

Gill has been in charge of the Huntly based sports body since May 2002, initially agreeing to a period of 3 to 5 years in the change management role.

"I needed to review things and decide if I would stay for another two years," said Gill "However I decided it was time to move on. This is my fifth sports management role and by far the most time consuming. There are ten sports to look after and there are no seasons. It certainly keeps you busy. I am certainly looking forward to more leisure time. "

David Appleton thanked Trevor for his contribution to the sport of motorcycling, "Trevor has been responsible for a number of initiatives that have changed our sport for the better including the High Performance Programme and the Rider Welfare Trust."
"We wish Trevor well for the future."
