KAWASAKI TEAM GREEN

Green Bike Wins Green Day:

It seemed appropriate somehow that the dominant rider at the weekend's Kawasaki Good Times Scramble near Eltham was a rider of the green machines, Manawatu's Leon Andrew. The 36-year-old former national 125cc champion was too good for fellow "veteran" former champions Mitch Rowe and David Furze and local hot-shot Mark Burling, who is on the comeback from injury, as Andrew won each of the races he entered on his AFC Motorcycles sponsored Kawasaki KX250F.

More than 100 riders enjoyed the blazing hot day of action, about 1km north-west of Eltham in southern Taranaki, the third round of four in this year's Kawasaki-sponsored and organised series.

Details of the final round are:
15 May 2005
Venue - Amberley
20 km’s north of Christchurch on State Highway 1
