Bay of Plenty Motorcycle Club Press Release:
Preparations are well underway, for the annual Whakatane Christmas MotoX, SUMMERCROSS on December 27/28.
The SUMMERCROSS will be run at the Bay of Plenty Motorcycle Club’s home track at AWAKAPONGA.
Club president Tony Rees said from his Whakatane base today, "Entries are just pouring in, we have 500 plus already."
The SUMMERCROSS is one of the biggest and most popular motocross events run in New Zealand each year and attracts riders from all over the country, as well as from overseas. This year will be no different. Whakatane on December 27/28 may be the only opportunity you are going to get to see World MX2 Champion Taupo’s Ben Townley in action.
So the place to be over the holidays between Christmas and New Year 2004, will be WHAKATANE.
COME AND SEE THE BEST MOTOCROSS ACTION IN NZ.
