Saturday Summer Scrambles Attracts Star:

Peter Broxholme from Broxy Coaching and the Castrol Honda Red Riders turned up at round two of the Off Road Motorcycles Saturday Summer Scrambles on Saturday 18th December.
Peter arrived in his Broxy Coaching Bus to support the series and give the locals a few tips and show the style that took him to the top of New Zealand Moto X.

The grass track course was a great leveller with no man mad(e) jumps or ultra rough sections to intimidate the average ability riders. Thus the racing was close and fun.
Peter rode the first race (a practice race) with a worn tyre on his Honda CRF250R and the slippery conditions caught him out near the end when he found himself on the ground letting Dave sneak through for the win. A change of tyre and no further such incidents occurred for the rest of the day. Peter rode his Honda CRF250 to easy wins showing his international class.

Christopher Power of 'Power Racing' (Castrol/NoFear Honda CRF450R) had a great ride in the open class taking the win and fight bravely to come home second to Peter Broxholme in the 20 – 19 year old class.

The hot class was undoubtedly the up to 15 year old racing, where a brace of CRF250 Hondas stormed the field lap after lap putting on a magnificent display of riding for ones so young. Cameron Huggins and Daniel Russell (both 15 yrs old) rode to the full potential of their motorcycles.
Without the Annandale family, the Saturday Summer Scrambles would not be a happening thing and the change of paddocks for this years series has proved a popular move.

Everyone is looking forward to the third round on the 22nd January.
