They say the early bird catches the worm.
But in this case - if you get yourself out to Auckland airport early on the morning of Friday, November 26, you will get to be a part of the welcoming party (and it could be a party!) to greet New Zealand's latest and youngest ever World Champion, Ben Townley. (Exactly 50 years ago Ronnie Moore became the World Speedway Champion at age 21.)
The 19 year old World MX2 Champion from Taupo arrives on Qantas flight QF26 from LA to Auckland @ 0600 hours.
We expect to have more details here on what is due to happen on this indecently early but momentous occasion.
On Saturday Ben is due to attend the Motorcycle Trader and News Awards
