Stars To Attend NZ Motorcycle Awards:

Those attending the New Zealand Motorcycle Awards hosted by Motorcycle Trader and News on the 27th of November will trip over a few world champions on their way to their seats.
The most recent and youngest of NZ's eight World Champions, Ben Townley, will make his first public appearance in New Zealand since wrapping up the MX2 Title in South Africa on the 26th of September.
Townley's European flatmate and MX1 World Number Three, Josh Coppins, will also attend.

Townley, who has a limited time in New Zealand, will return home just the day before the Awards, until then fans will have to be content with his bike - the KTM Townley won on, is currently on display in Auckland.
When confirming this with the organizers of the Awards, MNZ CEO Trevor Gill said, "It's brilliant, there is no stronger recognition than peer recognition. Ben will be amongst many former stars and admirers at the black tie dinner."

This years Awards will honour the New Zealand Speedway Team that won the World Team Championship in London 25 years ago, the entire team will be presented, including nine times World Speedway Champion, Ivan Mauger and four time winner Barry Briggs.

Also honoured and present will be New Zealanders who have won the Isle of Man TT.

The Annual Motorcycle Awards has twelve categories. To cap off the celebration Motorcycling New Zealand will launch the Rider Welfare Trust and auction some motorcycle memorabilia to kick start the fund.

The Motorcycle Trader and News Awards are run in conjunction with Motorcycling NZ and The NZ Motorcycle Distributors Association.
