MNZ Press Release:

NZ SX '05
CHAMPIONSHIP:

Motorcycling NZ has confirmed the dates and venues for the 2005 NZ Supercross Championship. This year there will be three rounds, two of them in Motueka.

Round One; 8 January 2005 – Motueka
Round Two; 9 January 2005 – Motueka
Round Three; 15 January 2005 – Tokoroa: (night)

The Motueka track, known as "The Rat Track" is the home of NZ Motocross star Josh Coppins. Coppins competed and won the round on his home track this year prior to heading to Europe where he came third in the World MX1 Championship.

Unlike Motocross, the Supercross series includes all age groups. As well as being spectator friendly, the series gives a chance for the younger riders to race at the same meeting as the likes of Darryll and Shayne King.

Both the 125 and 250 Supercross Titles are currently in Darryll King’s hands and Darryl will be defending them this summer.

The dates and venues are:
Round One; 8 January 2005 – Motueka
Round Two; 9 January 2005 – Motueka
Round Three; 15 January 2005 – Tokoroa: (night)
