KAWASAKI TEAM GREEN - Press Release:

Kawasaki's Juniors Take Three Out of Five at the Extravaganza:

A fine day dawned at Digger McEwen Park in Taupo for the Annual Labour Weekend Motocross Extravanganza on Saturday 23rd October.
It was to be a great day for Kawasaki: Team Green with their riders winning three out of the possible five Junior classes.

Mangakino’s Cameron Dillon lead the way by winning the 11-12 years 85cc class, Dillon was ranked 14th after the Junior Nationals, so his two firsts and a third were an outstanding effort.

Taupo’s own Brad Groombridge followed on by winning the 13-16 years 85cc with three straight wins. This too was an amazing feat, as he had recently fallen from a farm bike and had to have six or seven stitches in his knee.

Cambridge’s Kirk Bezzant, just back from Europe and fresh from a win in the Waikato Champs last weekend, dominated the 15-16 years 125cc class with three wins from three starts.

New Zealand’s leading female motocrosser, 16 year old Katherine Prumm (Pukekohe) kept the boys honest coming home eighth overall.
Prumm is looking forward to next weekend’s second and final round of the New Zealand Women’s Motocross Championship at Harrisville, just outside Pukekohe.
