Ready To Race?

Epic events is running Three MNZ Advanced Rider training courses in 2004 – Road Race, Enduro and Motocross. The courses will be top quality courses supported and endorsed by Motorcycling NZ.

The first course is the MNZ Advanced Road race training course to be held at Manfeild Saturday 30 October 2004.

The head instructor is the multi talented Brian Bernard who is New Zealand’s most experienced road race instructor and always at the pointy end of the national road race scene. Other well known racers will assist with demonstrations and small group teaching. Riders will be split into 2-3 groups according to abilities to ensure challenging an appropriate teaching methods and speed expectation.

The course is timed to take place 5 weeks prior to the NZ Road race nationals that begin 4-5 December at Ruapuna, Christchurch. The Manfeild round of the Nationals takes place 26/27 February 2005.

The course cost $200. The content includes bike preparation/set up, mental skills, video analysis and riding techniques including starts, braking, cornering and accelerating plus plenty of track time and fun.

The proven teaching method of instruction, demonstration, rider practice and feedback will be used in a small group situation.

The course also includes the new MNZ Road Race manual developed by Brian Bernard. Full of handy tips for new and experienced road racers.

Dates for the MNZ Advanced Enduro and Motocross training will be out soon. The Enduro training will feature an evening seminar on the International Six Day Enduro, Taupo, November 2006.

This will be the only MNZ road race training course in 2004, so keen riders should grab this opportunity!
