Stop Press: Race 3, the last race of the 2004 Fox MXof Nations was MX1 and Open classes.
Josh Coppins DNFd also on lap 10 after sitting in 4th position. As with Ben, his last lap was completed slowly, so it looks like he didn't crash??
Daryl Hurley's lap times slowed as the race went on and he dropped from running in 14th to finish 17th overall and 7th in his class.
Points are calculated with the best twenty teams to negotiate the programme of MX1+MX2, then MX2+Open and finally MX1+Open; each rider will score points in the race classification (for example if the first MX2 rider finishes fifth he will score five points), and for the final standing the best five (from six) results will be retained.
So one DNF is not counted - but two DNFs and it is all over.
My guesstimate is that Belgium won and France 2nd.
Now - when and where will the 2005 MXoN be held.........
