Kiwis Qualify 4th for the 2004 Fox MotoCross of Nations:

Qualifying for the Kiwis at Lierop, Holland has not gone quite according to plan.

The most experienced member of the team, Josh Coppins was the top Kiwi qualifier in 3rd place in his MX1 class while the 2004 MX2 World champion, Ben Townley struggled with machine problems to qualify in an uncharacteristic 7th MX2 position.

Meanwhile Darryl Hurley qualified in a similar position in his MX3 class, a larger capacity class than Hurls usually competes in.

Thus the Kiwi team have ended up qualifying in a handy 4th. overall position.
