HONDA RED RIDERS CONSISTENT AT ROUND THREE:

The Ssang Yong New Zealand Motocross Championship moved to Wellington this weekend with round three being run on a man-made track inside the horseracing course at Trentham. The round was run in brilliant sunshine, in front of a good crowd.

Castrol Red Rider, New Plymouth’s Shayne King maintained his Championship positions with two wins and a second in the 250cc class and two seconds and a fourth in the 5oocc/Open class.

Opotiki’s Cody Cooper was again consistent in the hotly contested 125cc class with a second, a fourth and a fifth.

Follow Red Rider Featherston’s Corrie Sargent had another good day in the 500cc class with a second and two thirds.

The team is looking forward to the last round in Auckland on October 31.
