Photo - Stefan Merriman,
UFO Yamaha #84 leading his class and the overall on Day 4.

We are very fortunate that Anita Merriman is taking the time to dissect the results (a very onerous job) and bring us up to date on the 2004 ISDE, Poland and particularly on Stefan's progress. The multi talented Kiwi born rider is drawing on his vast background of skills and proving to be one of the top '04 ISDE contenders.

ISDE Poland Day 4:

No rain today, clear blue skies again. The riders rode the same course as Day 3 with 2 Ct tests and 4 ET tests. Two laps of 128km each.

As the track dried, Stefan found the terrain very bumpy and rough and decided to change his suspension to accommodate the change in conditions.

Day 4 changed from the 'flying Fin' to the 'flying Kiwi'!!!! After his suspension change Stefan picked up the pace and won 4 of the special stages. Stefan was happy with the bike and it's handling in the conditions. He managed to refocus after the events of Day 3 and win the overall and class placing's for the day.

Albergonie did not start Day 4. I am unaware of the reason at this time.
