MotoGP races stopped for rain before the completion of the race are re-started as 'new races' consisting of the number of laps remaining to complete race distance.
If, however, five laps or less remain, the number of laps to run in the new race are five; the minimum number of laps which can constitute a race.
Teams and riders now want this changed on the basis of what we saw in the recent Italian six-lap?? Grand Prix.
