This would never happen in New Zealand, would it?

Following two days to review the situation, promoters of the OMA National Championship have now elevated Shane Watts from second position to the victory at Round 6 of the series held in Memphis, Missouri on August 29.
Earlier Report Here:

Original race winner Jimmy Jarrett was found to have substantially cheated on the final lap of the race, after running out of fuel. After receiving fuel from another competitor he then short cut a major part of the course to then go on and cross the finish in the lead.

Shane Watts commented, "After being told that Jarrett gained 5 minutes on me during the last lap, and ran out of gas as well, I knew that this equated to more than a suspicion of cheating. It was so blatant. What I'm annoyed about is that the guy then has the balls to say a victory speech, collect the prizemoney, and then leave the track immediately. Doesn't say much about his morals or integrity. I'm not impressed at all, nor are a lot of other people in the racing community."
