Shane Watts - OMA round 5

KTM Offroad racer Shane Watts scored fifth place at round five of the Offroad National Championship, held at Millville, Minnesota over the weekend.

Following a sixth place start Watts worked his way into the lead halfway through the first lap and proceeded to hold the lead until the mid-race fuel stop. Not far into the fourth lap Watts had a simple front end washout straight into a deep, trackside mudhole. Two miles further down the track a big rock sent Watts over the handlebars and into a spectacular flying W through the trees. After regaining his composure Watts was unable to bridge the gap back to the lead pack.
"I'm not happy at all with the way I rode. I was pretty timid and riding tight. I just wasn't aggressive like I have been in the past."
