Hi all,
The weather has turned round here at the Isle of Man for the best. The sun is out with a few spits over the early parts of the mountain.

I had my first practice today, the first lap was a controlled lap where we get sent off in groups of a dozen or so and follow the experienced marshalls. That was an experience where I wondered what I had put myself in for. I knew, from my fathers experience that the more laps that I can get in the better, so I got back out as soon as I could for my second lap on the bike.

This lap seemed better with no marshall to follow and gives me a chance to put the corners together in my own way. The bike is quick and I'm still a bit cautious in the section going into Ramsey where the track is extremely bumpy. Bray Hill is awesome (first hill after the start finish line). Kirk Michael is a real rush, especially when you get the corners linked and the mountain is sensational. This is a huge experience and after the 3rd lap that I got in on Saturday night, the bike felt more comfortable to ride at speed.

There are so many people over here just wanting to help out where ever possible. Sicco (Harald Eckl MotoGP mechanic is coming over to help prep the bike for me).

My helmet failed scrutineering as it was a little bit too loose for the Isle of Man TT circuit so I had to get another one. Des made a few phone calls and managed to get an FM helmet from George Short from S&S Motors in the IOM, tested it today and works superb.

THE Terry Fitzgerald arrived here in the IOM today so it is really good to see a familiar face and he has helped heaps already with his track knowledge.

That's it from me for tonight.
